Pig-Related Field Trips

Well, ladies, as you may recall, the LAFD is having its Annual Open House this Sat. I'm not sure I actually have the nerve to bring Pig to a firestation and ask if I can take pics of her on the truck with firemen, but I just wanted to throw it out there and see if I have gutsier friends who are willing to twist my arm into doing it.

If not, the genius who is Kate has invented a drink called a Pigtini, which is basically a regular martini but with black olives. And maybe served with a white napkin wrapped around it. (cuz we couldn't think of anything that would look white but would actually taste okay with black olives). I propose a barhopping field trip to find a bartender/owner who will 1.) make us Pigtinis 2.) Put Pigtinis on their menu.

And some day, if you see Nicolette Sheridan sipping a Pigtini on DH, you'll know you read about it here first.

OK- a) pigtini- martini with godiva white chocolate liquor and dark chocolate chips or those dark sprinkles. Version 2- bailey's with vodka, float some espresso bean garnish (or the chocolate covered ones if you don't care so much that they are black per se and want to eat them).

b) all the firemen can do is say no, and somehow, i think they won't. Did anyone see the simple life where nicole and paris got the fireguys to take off their clothes? Firemen like the idea of being attractive. It's what they do. They like being tough too, so one of them might pick pig up for you if you want... Sounds like a cute idea to me. I have to take my boyfriend (since i don't have a dog) and take photos of him by the fire truck.

meliss - yeah, the godiva white chocolate liquor sounds good! i think we had tossed around the idea of something with chocolate, but i don't think we came up with a good base. would you mix it with vodka, so technically it'd be a "-tini"?

islandgirl - thanks reading! I'll let Pig know that she should post about it, should I end up dragging her to the firestation!

Incidentally, Max has suggested that a Pigtini should be godiva white cholate liquor with boba. (very popular dark marble size chewy things that go in chinese drinks).

are bobas the tapioca bubbles in tea? I thought of that too: pina colada mix not frozen splashed in to vodka (or citron) with a tish of pineapple juice and bubbles. you'd have to NOT use the big straw that comes with the bubble tea though, for fear of all the requests on your birthday post happening all at once, followed by vomit and coma.

alcoholic boba drinks! it's brilliant.

by the way, i can go with you. you ask if you can take a picture of pig on the truck, i'll ask if I can get in their pants (you know, take a picture in those big overall things they wear). we will overwhelm them with our charm.
