Hello!

Poor neglected bloggie. Not that anyone really cares, but one of my resolutions this year (yes, those infamous resolutions that I never seem to quite keep...) will be to blog EVERY DAY. Even if it's nothing of particular importance, which, of course, it never is.

Anyway, have been very busy with my new job. Don't want to talk about it much - most days I think I'm going to get fired, but I'm hoping that's just sort of standard with a new job?

Max is back in MI for the holidays, so it's been very quiet around here. With Max gone, I've totally reverted back to my old lady lazy self - eating meals that either take less than 5 minutes to heat in the microwave, or require only only one pan/bowl, watching reruns of Golden Girls and Frasier and I Love Lucy ad nauseam, turning on the heater to 78 degrees, and going to bed by 10 p.m. It's a bit lonely, but we're slowly getting used to it. Luckily Kate, my friend Jenn, and Jenn's boyfriend Bill have all been super great about coming over to walk Pig during the day when I'm at work. I have no doubt Pig prefers to stay at home, watch Lifetime, and have someone walk her midday, than being sent to doggie day care.

Went up to SF this weekend to visit the Chinese Costanzas and my aunts for Christmas. It was a nice and relaxing trip - nothing much of interest happened. I did introduce my grandparents to Jessie's Special Guacamole Mix (two avocados mixed with the greatest powdered packet ever) - they loved it. My grandpa suggested that we spread it on toast or on soda crackers. Haha.

Oh - and Pig ate a giant log of dog shit. It was sooo gross!!!! I've never seen her do it - and this thing was enormous - like the size of a bratwurst. It was horrible b/c I couldn't really stop her - I grabbed her mouth with one hand, but couldn't bring myself to pull it out with the other. Aunt Marilyn took a stick and tried to pry it out of her mouth, which only succeeded in smearing it over half of her face. We spent about five minutes gagging on the side of the road after it all happened. I did ,of course, wash Pig's face and mouth and gave her lots of water and treats, but it tooks several days before I could really get over it. Ick.

Anyway, happy holidays everyone!

At my last job, I remember totally thinking I would get fired for the first month or so. I remember I once took home some paperclips or something and then thought they totally knew about it and had hidden cameras and were going to bust me. Yes, I was paranoid.
