I just read the story of your Runyon Canyon adventure and it gave me chills. One of my many phobias is a fear of spiders. I would also probably have run screaming and left Pig.
On other topics, I read that you were reading the Sunday Philosophy Club. I just read 44 Scotland street and liked it. If you haven't I'll send it to you. And I LOVE Pig in doggles.
I'm no good with spiders either. My dad used to call me Spider Woman when I was younger - I used to inspect every corner of the room before I went to bed and would inevitably yell, "Dad, there's a spider in here!!!"
